Interesting. When I lived in Philly I volunteered for a trash pickup and it was really interesting to learn about what happens to our trash. I feel like more people should understand the system instead of taking for granted that your trash disappears.
Totally agree. There's also some controversy here over how much plastic packaging actually gets recycled versus incinerated. And, Germany produces a lot of plastic packaging.
